In their fourth year of partnership, SunSense and Melanoma Institute Australia are continuing to work together towards reaching the goal of zero deaths from melanoma in Australia.
Melanoma Institute Australia is dedicated to preventing and curing melanoma through innovative research, treatment and education programs, and the support from its partnership with SunSense allows its team to continue this important work.
SunSense have this month launched their annual $1 campaign, pledging to donate $1 from every SunSense sunscreen purchased at Australian Pharmacies to Melanoma Institute Australia*. The fundraising campaign has traditionally been run over the Australian Summer, however this year’s activity has been extended to include Spring as well, with purchases made between 1st September 2021 and 28th February 2022 contributing to the cause.
‘This $1 campaign by SunSense will help fuel our ongoing research, which means when you buy SunSense sunscreen you are doing far more than protecting you and your loved ones from the damaging impacts of the sun,’ said CEO of Melanoma Institute Australia Matthew Browne. ‘Our mission is zero deaths from melanoma, and with ongoing support like our long term partnership with SunSense, we move ever closer to reaching this goal.’
For over 30 years, SunSense has been making sunscreens right here in Australia, for Australian conditions. And now, more than ever, you can make your purchase count towards helping reach zero deaths from melanoma.
Always read the label. Follow the directions for us. Avoid prolonged sun exposure and wear protective clothing, hats and eyewear to further reduce risk. Frequent reapplication is required.
*From the 1st September 2021 till 28th February 2022, $1 from every SunSense sunscreen purchased at Australian Pharmacies will go to Melanoma Institute Australia who are dedicated to preventing and curing melanoma through innovative research, treatment and education programs.
