The next generation of healthcare practitioners has been recognised, with QV Skincare today announcing the 2025 winners of the QV Healthcare Practitioner Student Scholarship.
Nashrah Alam (University of Sydney) from the Pharmacy category, Jessie Miller (University of South Australia) from the Nursing category and Fi Fraser (University of Sydney) from the Medicine category have each been awarded $10,000 in prize money following a nationwide campaign that saw entries from medicine, pharmacy and nursing students.
“This year we received more than double the entries compared to last year. We were blown away by the calibre, care and dedication shown in every application, and we’re incredibly proud to support these emerging healthcare leaders as they take the next step in their careers," Kira Torpy Ego Pharmaceuticals Marketing Manager
Launched in 2022, the QV Healthcare Practitioner Student Scholarship aims to further the education of the next generation of healthcare leaders. As part of this year’s application process, students were asked to share how they plan to use their chosen field of study to benefit patients with sensitive or problematic skin, highlighting their commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care. This year’s Nursing category winner, Jessie Miller, plans to use the scholarship to further her postgraduate studies, renew her annual membership with the Australian Dermatology Nurses Association, and attend key dermatology and allergy education events including the ASCIA Annual Conference. Her goal is to help develop and resource nurse-led skin and allergy education clinics within primary care, expanding access to specialised support for patients who need it most.
For 50 years, QV Skincare has been dedicated to caring for skin, with a rich history rooted in healthcare. It all began with a request from the dermatology ward of Melbourne's iconic Queen Victoria Hospital, establishing QV's close association with healthcare practitioners (HCPs) from the very start. Decades later, the QV brand remains family-owned, Australian-made, and a symbol of quality and innovation. With over 50 QV products available in more than 20 countries and over 50 million units sold, we're proud to be the skincare choice for multiple generations seeking to cleanse and moisturize their dry, sensitive skin. QV continues to be highly regarded by healthcare practitioners, a testament to the trust dermatologists, GPs, and pharmacists place in the brand.
