On Wednesday 13 August, QV Skincare hosted the inaugural QV Care Awards in Melbourne, an event created to recognise and celebrate extraordinary acts of care within Australian communities.
The awards honoured three exceptional winners across the categories of Community, Cause, and Individual. The winners - Elvis Martin, Jolyn Phillipps and Joseph Lahoud - each received $10,000 to continue their important work.
Guests gathered at Two Ton Max in North Melbourne, where 75 attendees enjoyed a celebratory lunch and shared stories that highlighted the profound impact of care in everyday life.
The concept for the QV Care Awards was developed nine months ago in collaboration with creative partners Sunday Gravy. The initiative forms part of QV’s 50th birthday celebrations, marking half a century of supporting sensitive skin while honouring the deeper purpose that has driven the brand since its inception.
QV was established following a request from Melbourne’s Queen Victoria Hospital to create a product that could help care for patients with sensitive skin. This legacy of care has remained at the heart of the brand for five decades - not as a fleeting campaign, but as a consistent, dependable presence in the lives of Australians
The event was hosted by the talented former AFLW star, commentator and new mum Abbey Holmes, with logie winner and tennis star Jelena Dokic, one of the QV Care Awards judges, joining a panel discussion to share her personal reflections on the meaning of care. Guests were treated to heartfelt storytelling, moments of connection, and a celebratory birthday cake in honour of QV’s milestone year.
As QV celebrates 50 years of care, the brand remains committed to recognising, supporting, and amplifying the everyday acts of kindness that make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
