Celebrating its 7 year anniversary, the annual fundraising event Emergency Services Golf Day aims to contribute to the research and support of brain ageing and dementia, and breast and prostate cancer.
The Golf Day was held late last year, organised by Queensland’s Emergency Services Teams: Queensland Ambulance Service, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, and Queensland Police Service.
Queensland’s Emergency Service Teams endeavor to create an engaging and intimate bond within the community through its healthcare services and community contributions.
During the event, a game of team golf and a raffle were organised for over 140 attendees to participate in, which involved both current and retired staff.
A day outdoor meant a day out in the sun – temperatures rose to a sunny and warm 31 degrees on the day of the event. Ego was proud to have the opportunity to support this event by providing sun protection to all participants with products from the SunSense range.
With overwhelming support, the event became a huge success – generating a total of $8000 on the day. The proceeds were donated to the Queensland Brain Institute Centre for Ageing and Dementia and the Breast and Prostate Cancer Association of Queensland.
Congratulations to the Emergency Services of Queensland for the huge fundraising success! We commemorate their efforts and contribution to the community.
