Last week was a standout for the packaging team here at Ego. We are incredibly proud to share that our commitment to innovation, design, and leadership has been recognised with finalist nominations across three separate packaging awards. These nominations highlight the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to ensure our products are as innovative on the outside as they are on the inside.

Celebrating Leadership: Michaela Cooke

First, a massive congratulations to our Global Product Projects Manager, Michaela Cooke. Michaela has been named a finalist in the prestigious PKN Women in Packaging Awards for the Packaging Technology Leader category. This recognition highlights her incredible contribution to the industry and her dedication to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in packaging technology.

PIDA Award Finalists: The Elucent Relaunch

The excitement continued with the official announcement of the 2026 Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design (PIDA) Awards finalists. Coordinated by the Australasian Institute of Packaging (AIP), these awards are designed to recognise companies and individuals making a significant difference in their field across Australia and New Zealand. 

We are honoured to share that the packaging for our newly refreshed Elucent Age Defying and Bright + Balanced ranges has been named a finalist in two distinct categories: 

  • Health, Beauty & Wellness Packaging Design: This category recognises organisations that have designed innovative packaging within cosmetics, toiletries, personal hygiene, supplements, vitamins, perfumes, hair body and oral care.
  • Labelling & Decoration Design: This award recognises the addition of content to a pack, such as labels, tag or directly applied inks, that creates a unique or innovative appearance, function, or communication. 

The PIDA Awards also serve as the exclusive feeder program for Australia and New Zealand for the prestigious WorldStar Packaging Awards. We couldn't be more proud of the team that brought this relaunch to life. 

Winners of these awards will be announced across June and July at their respective ceremonies.
