On Friday 21st June Ego Pharmaceuticals held a forum hosted by the Consumer Healthcare Products (CHP) Australia at their head office in Dandenong South.
Eva Winberg, Marketing Communications Manager at Ego Pharmaceuticals welcomed CHP Australia members and manufactures involved in the consumer healthcare industry.
The morning began with presenting the key issues for manufacturing in Australia which included sustainability, waste management and energy costs and labour challenges and workforce development being among the top most common key issues within the audience.
After an in-depth discussion, each group developed a brief which looked into their objective for their proposed initiative, key actions and timings, stakeholders involved and the scope for their selected issue.
Johnathon Reichwald, Senior Investment Manager for the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions for the Victorian Government then presented to guests about the current major government initiatives and success stories where manufacturing facilities have expanded and have been able to create new jobs and up skill current employees.
The morning was thoroughly enjoyed by all guests and it was great to share knowledge with those working in the manufacturing industry in Australia who are facing similar issues and attempting to overcome them together.
