At Ego Pharmaceuticals, our mission to transform lives through the science of healthy skin relies heavily on the incredible dedication of healthcare professionals.

Dermatology nurses are a vital part of patient care in skin health, and to honour their work we recently awarded two prestigious dermatology nursing scholarships in partnership with the Australian Dermatology Nurses Association (ADNA) and the British Dermatological Nursing Group (BDNG). These annual fellowships celebrate clinical excellence, fund further education, and facilitate an invaluable international knowledge exchange.

The 2026 program culminated at the recent ADNA National Conference in Melbourne where, alongside attending the conference, the recipients took part in an immersive itinerary, including a behind-the-scenes tour of our world-class Melbourne manufacturing facility to see the science behind our dermatological formulations firsthand.

The winners from both countries were named and celebrated at the annual ADNA Nurses dinner, both being chosen for their dedication to their patients’ skin health.

The Ego BDNG Travelling Fellowship (UK)

This career-defining scholarship brings a UK-based dermatology nurse to Australia to attend the ADNA National Conference and collaborate with industry peers.

This year’s winner, independently selected by the BDNG for his outstanding commitment to patient-centered care, was Craig Dominique-Smith from Locala Health & Wellbeing in Huddersford, England. On his return journey, Craig will also visit dermatology nurses at the National Skin Centre in Singapore to further expand his learning.

“Being able to see what happens in the healthcare industry over here, what translates to what I do back home and, on the dermatology side of things, just that shared knowledge and experience - I’m just grateful for Ego’s support in being able to offer that,” said Mr Dominique-Smith.

The Ego ADNA Nurses Fellowship (Australia)

This fellowship grant is awarded to an Australian dermatology nurse who has demonstrated exceptional passion, service and clinical expertise.

Selected independently by the ADNA executives, this year’s winner was Dr. Anna Lucas of Lucas & Medical Solutions on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. Dr. Lucas was recognised for her advanced clinical expertise, academic contribution, and systems-level thinking. She plans to use the grant money to further her education and bolster the dermatology nursing profession.

“I think that it’s important to continue to swim against the flow and always advocate for yourself, and remember that education is one of the things that no one can ever take away from you,” said Dr Lucas. “It can really empower yourself and others in the profession, and I’m so excited to use the award money to find some other way [to do that].”

Congratulations to both winners. We are incredibly proud to support their ongoing journeys in advancing global skin health.
