On Thursday 18th October, the Australian Self Medication Industry (ASMI) recognised excellence by manufacturers and suppliers in sales and marketing at the ASMI Diamond Awards. Held at the Kirribilli Club in Sydney, Ego Pharmaceuticals was honoured to receive 3 awards.
The ASMI awards are designed to honour manufacturers and suppliers in the non-prescription medicines industry who excel in the marketing of their products. They recognise Quality Use of Medicines (QUM), innovation and marketing best practise.
Ego was awarded the Best Professional Marketing Campaign for Health Care Professionals. This award was judged by a panel of independent judges who assessed the campaigns on objectives, strategy, execution, health literacy focus and results. The ‘Life Is Harsh on the Skin They’re in’ campaign, designed in conjunction with Sudler & Hennessey, was complimented for the connection of the Australian landscape with dry skin and the clarity of the positioning of Intensive with Ceramides.
Ego was also recognised for Pharmacy Sales Excellence in the <$100m category. This award is based on a survey completed by 240 pharmacists and 500 pharmacy assistants who ranked the Ego National Sales team first for service excellence.
The third and final accolade, Ego was awarded the Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) Excellence award in the <$100 million category. Based on the survey again, this award recognised the hard work of our dedicated sales team who educate pharmacy staff on products and treatments to ensure they are confident in servicing customers with the right products and able to build brand loyalty of Ego products.
