It was a pleasure to have the Hon. Mark Dreyfus MP KC, Attorney-General, Cabinet Secretary and Member for Isaacs, visit our Braeside manufacturing facility last month.
With the recent completion of our Greencore project, the Minister was among the first visitors to see our $25 million manufacturing facility renovation, upgrade and expansion to increase capacity, productivity and lessen our carbon footprint. This will reduce electricity consumption used in manufacturing, with a goal to achieve carbon neutral manufacturing by 2030. Our new HVAC air handling systems require 42% less energy to give better quality air for safer products. New low energy lights, new fire detection system and an upgraded filling line, and new electrical and data conduits also allow us to continue towards Industry 4.0 transformation.
During his visit, Minister Dreyfus was given a tour by executive directors, Alan and Dr Jane Oppenheim. The minister also toured the newly refurbished and upgraded packing hall where he spoke candidly with some of our staff; and even in Spanish to some of our staff from Chile and Uruguay
