Skin conditions & our products
  • Athlete’s foot (tinea pedis) is most common in young, adult men and has various patterns.
  • Skin on the sole and sides of the foot can look moccasin-like and is dry and scaling. Due to warmth and moisture, the skin between the toes is soft, can peel off easily, and fissures are often present. The affected skin is often irritable, and it may smell unpleasant.
  • Although generally mild, very inflamed athlete’s foot can be due to secondary bacterial infection.
  • A chronic itchy, inflamed skin condition which is exacerbated by a number of factors.
  • An increasingly common skin condition affecting both adults and children.
  • Patients with atopic eczema have been found to have skin colonised by Staphylococcus aureus, with levels shown to increase with the severity of the condition
  • Tinea infections range from mild scaling erythema to severe inflammation.
  • Inflamed areas can cause scaling, crust, papules, vesicles and even bullae to develop.
  • A formulation that treats the fungal infection as well as the itch and inflammation, may be a suitable option.

May manifest as a phototoxic or photoallergic reaction to certain medication

  • Photoallergic: appears as an eczematous, itchy reaction 24–72 hours after exposure to agent and light; may spread to areas not exposed to sun.
