SunSense, Ego’s iconic Australian sunscreen brand, has celebrated 30 years of leading the industry in sun care. An exhibition was hosted and open to the public on Friday the 14th and Saturday the 15th of September at The Loft, above the strand arcade in Sydney, showcasing an interactive timeline of campaigns, videos and products since its beginning in 1988.
Many were amazed to see that the values of SunSense and its parent company, Ego Pharmaceuticals, have been upheld to this day, with the still family owned company keeping all manufacturing in Australia. The business also retains a firm focus on protecting Aussies from our harsh sun through creating products with the highest possible SPF protection and with formulas for all skin types to encourage usage.
Guests were also invited to facial UV photography, to see the hidden damage under their skin. The results were a fascinating look at what’s really going on beneath the surface, with many guests reaffirming their pledge to wear sunscreen every day.
Attendees left with SunSense samples, and armed with new knowledge of a true Australian brand and increased awareness of sun protection.SunS
