Ego Pharmaceuticals has been recognised as a leading example of Victorian resilience, innovation and excellence at the 41st Governor of Victoria Export Awards (GOVEA) 2020.
This year’s GOVEA awards were designed to recognise Victorian export success during a tough year. Businesses were asked to highlight how they have demonstrated resilience, innovation and adaptability during 2020.
Ego focused on the resilience of our people, and how we addressed the shortage of hand sanitiser in Australia to meet the increased needs of the Australian market during the pandemic to ensure supply to essential health services.
Alan Oppenheim, Ego Pharmaceuticals MD says ‘I am so proud and humbled by the spirit of all 660 people who make Ego, this is the best thing to happen in 2020. Our people came together, and adapted quickly. Our people showed resilience by supporting each other, and our customers, under new and complex situations to continue to help those who want healthy skin’.
The awards were presented in a digital ceremony, by Her Excellency the Honourable Linda Dessau AC, Governor of Victoria, and The Hon. Martin Pakula, Minister for Trade who said ‘Victorian businesses have shown amazing resilience and adaptability this year, exemplified by the efforts and achievements of our GOVEA winners’.
We are proud to have been recognised alongside fellow Victorian export businesses during this challenging year and congratulate our 660 Ego people in 40 cities, across 13 nations.
