how long will it act as a barrier? and if we apply it to our hands, how are we suppose to get rid of it?

    Hi there,

Silic 15 Cream can be applied as often as required. It does not create an impermeable barrier, and can be removed using regular body wash.

    Many thanks,

My son is getting a rub rash around his neck when he wears his Wet Suit from the sand and salt I presume. I have been applying pure Silicon grease purchased from a dive shop which is made to lubricate seals on dive equipment. This has worked to prevent the rash but is expensive to buy. Does Silic 15 contain any agents that would damage wet suit material (neoprene)? e.g. Petroleum by-products or natural solvents like Tea Tree Oil?

  • Ego Pharmaceuticals Feb 02 ,2017 at 1:58 am

    Hi Andrew,

We only test products for efficacy on skin. We haven't conducted any studies of the Silic 15 under these conditions (wetsuit use), so can't confirm the efficacy of either the Silic 15 Cream or Lotion for this purpose, but I can confirm that it does not contain Tea Tree Oil. It does, however, contain Liquid Paraffin, which is petroleum by-product.

As a cosmetic, all the ingredients for Silic 15 can be found on our website.

    Many thanks,
    The Ego Team
