The Australian Business Review has named Ego Pharmaceuticals as the 363rd largest privately owned company in Australia, increasing ten places in the annual list on the previous year.

The 2015 top 500 list, published in The Deal magazine in The Australian newspaper, takes into consideration company revenue over the latest 12-month accounting period and number of staff, up to the end of June 2015.

Ego has 480 staff globally and posted a revenue growth of 35 per cent for the previous financial year.

Ego’s Managing Director, Alan Oppenheim, said while Ego is flourishing in Australia, export growth is having a significantly positive impact on the company’s bottom line.

“It’s a testament to our staff in Australia and our 120 staff internationally who are working every day to improve the skin health of people worldwide through our products, each element of the business is integral to our increasing success” Mr Oppenheim said.

The 62 year strong company is committed to investing in the future growth of the company in Australia, recently purchasing 9.5 hectares of land in Dandenong South with plans to build a second global manufacturing hub in Melbourne.
