Ego Pharmaceuticals won two prestigious awards at the Australian Self Medication Industry (ASMI) gala awards dinner.
Ego won the Pharmacy Sales – Quality Use of Medicine (QUM) <$100M, which is conferred on companies that excelled in ‘promoting QUM in pharmacy’ – through initiatives such as sales representative knowledge and focus on pharmacy staff product training.
In addition, Ego was also awarded the Pharmacy Sales – Overall Excellence Winner <$100M The award recognises companies with the highest overall satisfaction metrics as voted by retail pharmacy from specialist pharmacy research company, Industry Pulse.
Ego’s Managing Director, Alan Oppenheim, says that Ego’s commitment to remain exclusive to Australian Pharmacy (bucking recent trends of other skincare brands to shift into grocery) has continued to strengthen the pharmacy-Ego relationship.
“These awards recognise that Australian pharmacy believes Ego is the business partner of choice based on the whole of service that the whole of Ego provides to Australian pharmacy” said Mr Oppenheim.
“The whole Ego team has driven this with the provision of high quality innovative products supplied on time when the customer wants it, our sales and marketing teams work in unison to maintain this relationship” added Mr Oppenheim.
Mr Oppenheim also explained that Ego continues to educate pharmacy staff on skin care and treatment and provides training and resources to help equip them with the best knowledge to service their customers and build loyalty to encourage return sale.
“We invest significantly in providing tools like our Pharmacy Assistant Online Portal. When pharmacy assitants recommend our products, the consumer can’t pick them up on their next grocery trip – consumers will return only to the pharmacy to purchase them.
“Ego has remained true to its values, we choose pharmacy because we know that’s where our customers will receive the best advice and these awards are recognition of that commitment” added Mr Oppenheim.
