Ego Pharmaceuticals makes the 2018 AFR Most Innovative Companies ListAugust 7, 2018
Ego Pharmaceuticals is honoured to be recognised as one of Australia and New Zealand’s Most Innovative Companies for 2018. The prestigious annual list, published by The Australian Financial Review, is based on a rigorous assessment process managed by Australia’s leading innovation consultancy, Inventium, in conjunction with a panel of industry expert judges.
Ego Pharmaceuticals ranked #99 from over 1000 nominated organisations across Australia and New Zealand. The assessment measures a top innovation implemented in the past twelve months.
Specifically, the judges look at how valuable the problem is that the innovation is solving, the quality and uniqueness of the solution, and the level of impact that the innovation has had. Inventium assesses internal elements such as innovation culture, strategy, resources and process, which demonstrate a sustainable and repeatable approach to innovation.
Awards judge and CEO of Inventium, Dr Amantha Imber commented, ‘The field of entrants for the 2018 AFR Most Innovative Companies list is the highest quality we have seen in seven years of judging the list. Making the 2018 list is a massive achievement and signals that the organisation is not only producing highly impactful innovations, but also has a sustainable approach to growth.’
Ego Pharmaceuticals was thrilled to be recognised for its culture of innovation and in particular its work with preventing skin tears in the elderly.
Managing director, Alan Oppenheim, commented that this was both another proud moment and another indicator of the growing success of the organisation, which recently won the Australian Exporter of the Year award for 2017.
‘We have grown immensely since my parents started the Ego business in 1953. Our focus on upholding the Ego values and our commitment to making dermatological products of the highest quality has differentiated us in the skincare market and contributed to our success.’
