We have implemented a Supplier Compliance Agreement to ensure that all of our raw materials are high quality and ethically sourced.
We select suppliers for our raw materials, whether it’s ingredients or packaging, based on strict standards and criteria. Our suppliers are assessed on quality, responsible sourcing and modern slavery criteria.
None of Ego’s products are tested on animals.
Safety and efficacy testing of our formulations are routinely carried out using in vitro methods or human volunteers, during the research and development phase. The use of human volunteers requires the study to be well designed and appropriately reviewed by established ethics committees.
We are committed to increasing the amount of recycled content in, and recyclability of, our product packaging to be in line with or above Australian industry standards.
The packaging of most of our products is recyclable, and we strive for continuous improvement in this area as new sustainable packaging materials and technologies become available.
We are a signatory of the Australian Packaging Covenant (APCO), and we are investing in Australia’s circular economy by using recycled content in our packaging where possible. Click here to read our APCO Action Plan.
To help educate consumers on what can and cannot be recycled at home, our Australian products will have the Australian Recycling Label (ARL) information available on pack, where space and therapeutic guidelines permit. We also have a recycling guide on our website for more information.
